Since Gawker.com is going under and the authors will be redistributed among the other blogs and Univision, let’s make WILD conjectures and give our new owners a brilliant idea to livestream and synergize or something.
As the current authors on Gawker wouldn’t know decent satire(The Onion) or African-American culture (The Root)if it bit them on the ass, I’m going to limit the draft teams to other Gawker Media blogs. Draft order is based upon unique views then inverted which gives the first pick to....

So great and powerful Kinja users... Who does Jalopnik draft with the first overall pick? Do they go with the dry sarcasm/trolling of Nolan Hamilton and inviting reader hate from it’s fairly conservative reader base? Or perhaps they go BOLDLY and pick Jordan Sargent to publish a tell all from Elon Musk’s alleged mistress, only to retract the article over minor ethical issues like libel and abating extortion?
While this roof burns, let’s have some fun with this. Who doesn’t like a draft? Well, a non military draft I guess.
If possible, I’d like this to be crossposted to all the RR-blogs. Let’s get some ideas out there!

Divide and conquer. Without positive feedback from others they’ll fall out or fall in line. There’s talent there, but, as a whole, they were clearly given too much leeway.
Not that media should be managed with an iron fist, just managed enough not to bankrupt the whole company.
It's all about the middle ground.
